Musser’s New Home in the USA Instrument Manufacturing Capitol

We are proud to announce the integration of the Musser production site to our Woodwind manufacturing facility located in Elkhart, IN later this year (2013). Musser products and the world-renowned sound of these percussion instruments have always been an integral part of the music industry. Conn-Selmer hosts plant tours and summits throughout the year in Elkhart. Having Musser production in Elkhart will ensure that artists, educators and students who visit will be able to experience the unique artistry of our employees making a comprehensive line of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments for band and orchestra at an American company.

Months of planning and application of the most contemporary strategies for successfully relocating a production facility are being utilized to oversee the upcoming transition. Focus on product quality and meticulous maintenance of production processes is paramount.  Musser’s use of wood is a natural fit in the Elkhart Woodwind facility and has access to resource advantages not previously available.

Even current suppliers are participating in the effort to ensure that the Musser products are moved without any disruption to our customers. Twenty-seven of Musser’s current suppliers attended a recent Supplier Day event, one supplier summarized the general sentiment of Musser’s dedicated partners by stating, “We’ve been on board for many, many years with Musser and look forward to remaining a strategic business partner with Musser after the move. We are committed to assist in any way possible to help make this great transition totally successful.”  This type of support and attention to all details, including the transfer of key employees with over 82 years of experience, are only some of the endeavors being taken to guarantee that Musser will continue to provide the world with the finest sounding, American made, percussion instruments.

We are looking forward to the arrival of Musser at our Elkhart Campus which includes our corporate headquarters, distribution centers, the Vincent Bach and the Woodwind facilities.

Thank you for your continued support.

I have a 1966 Classic , in Black Pearl. I would not trade my set for any drum set on the market today. Ludwig is #1 forever.
